Source Description
In this letter to William Lloyd Garrison, the Duke of Argyll invites him, along with his son and daughter, to have breakfast at their house the following morning. The letter states that if the 10am breakfast is to early, "the Duke & Duchess will be delighted to receive Mr. Garrison later in the prenoon at any time convenient to him."

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white stationery with the letterhead reading, "Argyll Lodge. Kensington. W." Above the first line of the letter, the number "69" is written in pencil. The folder contains an envelope addressed to "Wm Lloyd Garrison Sr: 22 Southampton St. Bloomsbury". Along the spine edge of the envelope, the phrase "Duke of Argyll, June 19, 1867." is written in pencil, vertically.
