Letter from Newman Weeks, Rutland, [Vermont], to William Lloyd Garrison, 1870 Feb[ruar]y 10

Newman Weeks writes to William Lloyd Garrison asking him to attend the "Woman Suffrage Man Convention in Rutland Monday Eve Feb[ruar]y 21 & 22d all day" and "come and help us". Weeks says that although "the workers are few, but the cause is growing in the hearts of Vermonters, & we hope to succeed at the Constitutional Convention". He explains that he was unsure if other members of the committee had written to Garrison, so Weeks does so "as one of the Ex[ecutive] Committee" [of the Vermont Woman Suffrage Association].
