Source Description
Mr. Abner B. (Bernard) Warner writes to Amos A. Phelps explaining that he has resettled to the town at Milford and requests Amos to "give me the charge on the 7th of Feb...Charge me for God and the slave, and see who dares say, nay. I should have been glad to have you preach the sermon, but my uncle, Prof. Warner, had been engaged in anticipation. The people of Milford are very desirious that you should be there for the purpose above states, and to lecture in the evening." He also writes a post script in which he asks if his father is unable to come, if Amos would be able to give the Sermon as Abner is in Northampton for 2 weeks.
