Source Description

Luther Wright writes to Amos A. Phelps regarding his inability to raise funds for Phelps. He writes of reports that circulated about him at the last anti- slavery meeting that "are absolutely false, having not the least formulation in truth." He writes, "all I wish of you in relation to this slanderous report, is, that when you hear it mentioned, to say that I do, & ever have, & ever shall, deny its truth in late."
