Document source description
C.L. Weston writes to William Lloyd Garrison asking "Can New Hampshire be redeemed ... from Hunkerism"? and celebrating "the Prophet & Priest of Christian Anti-Slavery Parker Pillsbury". Weston argues that "the time has come when we very much need Social, Civil & Religious at the hands of Practical Christian Campaigners" and discusses the relation between their religious beliefs and abolitionism. Weston also proposes a "New Platform for moral Anti-Slavery to base itself upon", listing seven points, the last being "Repeal Slavery, Or Dissolve the Union." They then discuss recent lectures delivered by Parker Pillsbury and request that the letter by placed in the Liberator, asking if Garrison doesn't like it to "do anything but place it in the Refuge of Oppression" column.
