Source Description

Henry Clarke Wright writes to William Lloyd Garrison about "a great stir in this region" and asking him to include something in the Liberator. He comments that "funeral occassions" have been used for political purposes the past and "it is the determination of thousands in Ohio to use these occasions to call attention to ... promote Reforms & disseminate true & just views of our relations to this and to the next world." Wright also shares his desire to discuss Non-Resistance in the Liberator's columns "to say a few things on that subject" and also "to get Joseph Barker to speak through the Liberator & give his reasons for taking the ground that he has."
