Source Description
W.G. White writes to William Lloyd Garrison about the Liberator, claiming that while Garrison "maintain[s] your reputation as a firm friend of the slave, you do not seem to be quite so firm in your formerly expressed sentiments on the subject of Peace." White identifies himself as a member of "the League of Universal Brotherhood" ans asks Garrison how he can support the war as all wars are "indefensible on the principles of Christianity." He then asks Garrison to end his subscription to the Liberator saying that, "Unlike many others who cannot endure your radicalism, you have not quite enough to suit me on one subject."
