Source Description

Asa Fairbanks writes to Samuel May that he was "glad to learn" that May is planning one of the antislavery conventions to take place in Providence on July 26 and 27. Fairbanks promises his cooperation and that he "will see to it that all necessary arrangements are made in good time." He asks May to send William Lloyd Garrison and Lucy Stone as speakers for the convention.
