Source Description

Charles Lenox Remond writes to Samuel May stating they cannot hold a meeting in Lyceum Hall, and Lenox is working "to secure Mechanic Hall" but he thinks it "is likewise doubtful for the occassion [sic]." He promises to write May the following day with a definite answer about whether they can use Mechanic Hall. In the postscript, Remond promises he "shall use my best endeavors to secure the Hall for I am extremely anxious to have the meetings in our City at his this time ..."
