Letter from Lewis Tappan, New York, to Amos Augustus Phelps, 1846 November 19
In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Lewis Tappan discusses a variety of subjects: J. B. Johnston is going to Haiti and wants to be introduced to Phelps; progresses are being made with the plan for a new paper in Washington; Mr. Scoble sent his regards and some newspapers for Phelps; William Lloyd Garrison returned from the England after attending the British and Foreign Anti-Slavery Convention; Mr. Stowe has been installed at the church; and the new missionary association is going on well.
