Source Description

Johnson notifies Garrison that he was unable to publish the materials forwarded to him by Garrison owing to their delayed arrival, which made inclusion in the Standard impossible. Johnson describes to Garrison the state obtaining in the city following the Draft Riot as "fearful", and denounces the mob as a conspiracy between the "Southern rebels and their Northern allies".
