Source Description
Johnson reports that Dr. Massy has left for New Haven, where is engaged to preach the following day, and that he has related to Johnson his intention to attend the Abington meeting. Johnson states that Massey had only recently arrived from Washington, where he had been interviewing the President and Cabinet officials. Johnson states that he will be unable to attend the Abington meeting due to his work obligations, and mentions that he will need to request an "annual respite of a month" from the Executive Committee.
