In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Isaac P. Langworthy requests information concerning the church at Georgetown. He received a call to settle there, but is wary of the situation in the church where he will be a “colleague” of an older pastor whose salary is much lower than the one promised to him (Langworthy).
