"William Lloyd Garrison ponders Mrs. Sarah Thurber Benson's bereavement, loss, and Christian hope. Garrison is uneasy because of the absence of news from Henry Egbert Benson. The ladies of the Anti-Slavery Society made $542 in one day at their annual fair. Garrison lists the names of the ladies who superintended the tables at the fair. Garrison writes: \"At the last New-England Anti-Slavery Convention, the Boston Female Society nobly agreed to raise one thousand dollars for the Massachusetts Society within a year. They have already redeemed their pledge!\""
