Silva W. Jones regrets that the anti-slavery society of Ashburnham is not better prepared to contribute to Anne Warren Weston's sale, "but such as we have we wish freely to give." She discusses the pricing of the articles. Money will also be sent. The abolitionist cause is progressing slowly in Ashburnham. The death of Elijah P. Lovejoy "has awakened some to action."
