"William Lloyd Garrison thanks Oliver Johnson for the card photograph. Garrison will attend Oliver Johnson's \"next 'Progressive' [Friends] meeting at Longwood.\" Gerrit Smith and George Washington Julian declined William Lloyd Garrison's invitation to speak at the annual meeting. He suggests Samuel Aaron as a speaker. Wendell Phillips must give an address at the meeting. Garrison comments: \"I am sorry and surprised that Mr. Frothingham so underrates his admirable performances.\"",
