William Lloyd Garrison tells of a surprise visit from Wendell Phillips Garrison. Although Mrs. Helen Eliza Garrison is crippled in her "power of locomotion," her general health is good. William L. Garrison tells of dining with the Otis family. He just had a visit from the Rev. Mr. Wasson. He mentions Fanny Garrison's engagement to Henry Villard. George Thompson Garrison is on detached duty from the 55th Regiment. "Lucy Thaxter called yesterday" and gave particulars on her father's illness and death.
