Letter from Samuel May, Leicester, [Mass.], to Richard Davis Webb, May 19, 1861

May tells Webb he will send extracts from John Brown's letters, some of which could not be published because they might betray Brown's associates. May praises John Brown's sons, Watson and Oliver, and says that the North stands firm.
