Letter from John Bishop Estlin, Bristol, to Samuel May, May 4th, 1849

Estlin informs May that he sent a letter to Joshua Coffin, as requested. He refers again to the execution of Sarah Harriet Thomas, who murdered her mistress. The prisoner's mentality was described to him by William Bird Herapath, a chemist who took part in the court proceedings.
