Document source description
Alfred Love forwards to William Lloyd Garrison a copy of the "Press" from the 30th, commenting that it provides a "just commentary to thy noble positions". Love asserts his desire to "speak early & speak first" to the "Philadelphia Audience", reminding Garrison that he referred to this desire upon Garrison's last visit in December. Love expresses his deep sympathies for the poor health of Helen Garrison, and wishes her a speedy recovery. In a post-script, Love requests of Garrison the favor of conferring with George Thompson to inquire if he would consent to delivery a lecture or an oration at the Academy of Music. Love insists that the Academy would be a fitting location for Thompson to received a "proper reception", and states that he would be deligthed for Garrison to accompany Thompson.
