Source Description
James Taylor Dickinson writes to Amos A. Phelps that he could not see many of his old friends during his brief visit to Boston. He says that he cannot be idle at age 38, but does not have a definite plan for the future. He says he has taken a neutral ground regarding the American Board: He has been looking at them from the foreign point of view and needs to look at them from the domestic point of view in order to make up his mind. Finally, Dickinson relates some news about their mutual friends.
