Samuel May, Jr., went to the city marshal's office and saw the articles "found upon the man in question." These items were believed to be taken from boxes belonging to the Anti-Slavery Bazaar. Samuel May describes the items in question.
Included with this letter is an envelope with the delivery address: Anne W. Weston, Weymouth, MA. There is also an admit card from the American Anti-Slavery Society for the Executive Committee meeting on Monday, March 15, at 10 o'clock A.M., at 21 Cornhill, signed by S.M. Jr. [Samuel May] for W[endell] Phillips.
