Miss Fuller, the young Southerner who became a life member of the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society, fears that her abolition will separate her from her lover. David and Maria Mack are going to leave for Northampton to join the community there. Anne describes a carriage accident that befell her when Hervey Weston drove her to Weymouth. She gives news of relatives. She plans to \"raise up\" a back chamber as a \"city of refuge\" for Henry G. and Maria W. Chapman when they return from Haiti."
