Debora Weston compares the interior decoration of the homes of Rev. Wilson and Rev. Nathaniel T. Bent. She tells about her experiences gathering signatures for anti-slavery petitions. Debora is very busy. Abby Osgood is teaching Debora to learn Italian. Debora said: "I can't see as my cares wear upon me any, as I am fatter than I was when I first came." She reads the "Emancipator" magazine. She comments: "That piece in the Liberator by John G. Whittier was republished in the Democratic paper here." Debora has much to say about the Rev. Choules and the Rev. Nathaniel T. Bent.
