"Holograph, signed with initials.",
"Debora Weston writes that Henry Clarke Wright arrived here and lectured to \"a very respectable audience.\" He wanted Debora to communicate with Maria Weston Chapman about the petitioning, \"which he is dreadful afraid will get into the hands of the peelers.\" John Bailey has had difficulty in getting a 4th of July orator. Debora feels anxious about [Maria Weston Chapman's] Right and Wrong, and hopes that Caroline Weston will have the proof sheets thoroughly criticised in respect to accuracy; she would like to have Dr. Amos Farnsworth see them. She inquires if Rodney French's letter was what Maria Weston Chapman wanted. Debora's \"labours have not been in vain in regard to Abby [Osgood],\" she is to leave her present place and go to Mr. Beane's. Debora has given up the notion of Lucia Weston taking her place and having a school here for herself. Debora comments: \"Everything here disgusts me. In short I hate it.\""
