Anne Warren Weston's grandmother, Deborah Nash Weston, died at the age of eighty-nine. Her last hours are described. Anne gives instructions on how to arrive in time for the funeral.
There is a separate note from Caroline Weston, who is troubled that Debora Weston should have "this grief and anxiety alone & far from home," that is written in the margin and crosswise on the third page.
