Document source description

This hand-drawn plan (lithograph) measures 73 x 66 cm. It is matted with a cream colored matte and has a label at one corner that reads “Lawrence Duck Co. (Cotton Mills) Lawrence, Mass. surveyed June 1894 scale of plan 1 in. = 40 ft.” The drawing is in color and is rich with detail. Both a three dimensional and a flat map plan are shown. Notation on the bottom right corner of the plan says that the plan is drawn from “careful tape-line measurements”. Outside proprties were located by pacing. Diagrams of just what was being done on each floor were draw on the sides. “Cancelled” was stamped on the lower right hand corner. It is labeled plan serial no. 3293.
