On lack of faith in Judge Webster Thayer or new trial, and the silence of the Italian and American press; and referring to Raffaele [Schiavina] and the semimonthly "La Frusta, "[quindicinale anarchio]"" (Fano, Italy). 6 s. (6 p.) In Italian. (Cf. Nicola Sacco's manuscript letter signed (in B. Vanzetti's hand) to Nicola (in Italy), also dated 27 April 1922. (See MS 2030 Box 1 F2 (2).) Translation: Expresses feelings of solitude, nostalgia. He has written to no one other than Raffaele. It is now a year since the trial which convinced the world of their innocence. Talks about his cause – of workers in general – Thayer – the help of the world proletariat – the role of the press. He has received comforting words from Italy. They may be victims, but the people will triumph. P.S. Greetings to members of “Frustra, and please send news of Italy."
