Document source description
This large square textile is a composite, assembled from several different woven and embroidered panels and finished with a long thick fringe. These silk-embroidered pieces might have been parts of old clothing or other textiles. Stylistic assessment connects it to Greek and Macedonian traditions; such objects were made in the eastern Mediterranean for the tourist market.
