Hans Bol
https://clevelandart.org/art/1986.25
Hans Bol (1534–1593) was active in Antwerp as a painter, etcher, and miniaturist. He is shown here at the age of 58, the last year of his life. The skull and the upside-down torches in the ornamental frame are evidence that the engraving was made after Bol's death.
