Source Description

This book is a reproduction based on several French Books of Hours–medieval books of personal prayers. Fittingly, its binding–a cross surrounded by interlace work–evokes medieval designs, which were popular during the 19th century. It is also a rare early example of the work of the bookbinding firm Gruel.
