Four Sketches of a Lion Attacking a Horseman
Barye has lightly sketched, mostly in outline, several variations on the theme of a lion attacking a man mounted on a rearing horse. In two of the scenes, a second lion crouches over a fallen man. These studies have not been related to any of Barye's known compositions.
