This finely modeled figure of the young god Horus-the-Child (called Harpocrates by the Greeks) shows him, as ususal, sucking his finger. He wears the typical juvenile sidelock, but also has short curly hair, indicated by fine incised lines. Teh deep-set eyes reveal the influence of Greek art on late representations of this well-known Egyptian god.The legs and left arm are damaged.
