She had many open liasons with prominent figures and was politically active as well. She is best remembered for her novels: \"Lettres d'un voyager,\" dealing with her life with Musset, and among others, \"Un Hiver à Majorque,\" her recollections of Chopin. Sand died in Nohant in 1876.",
