Louis XV's goldsmith and bronze-caster, Jean-Claude Duplessis, produced the models for these rococo vessels. A.T. Cornaille was responsible for the floral decoration. The turquoise ground color, "bleu céleste," was one of the first colors introduced at Vincennes.
