Her son, also named Charles Gordon, was a railway entrepreneur. The miniature is in a Tiffany frame. The frame and inscription match that of WAM 38.493. This may depict the sitter's husband.Lambdin studied with Thomas Wilcocks Sully (1811-1847), the renowned portraitist in Philadelphia, and established himself as a miniaturist in the same city.",
