    "description": "This thin, hollow, square box decorated with intricate gold filigree and colorful enamel roundels is likely an amulet case. Such objects are worn around the neck in the Islamic world as protective devices. The case originally contained an inscription on parchment, probably a passage from the Qur'an. The outer frame of the piece contains an Arabic or Pseudo-Arabic inscription, and the reverse displays a six-pointed Star of Solomon symbol incised into its surface.",
