Document source description
A feature of this watchcase is the exceptional chasing and embossing executed by Ishmail Parbury. George Graham of London, who made the watch, was largely responsible for technical innovations that assured British watchmakers their preeminence in Europe during the second quarter of the 18th century. Depicted on the case is the marriage of Zephyrus, god of the west wind, and Flora, goddess of flowering plants.
