Source Description

Bust-length portrait of a gentleman in three-quarter to the left profile, with curly brown hair, wearing a black coat, white vest and stock. The way the surround of the window for the lock of hair matches the bronze frame on the front of the peice, and the assymetrical arrangement of the window, is typical of American miniatures from the first part of the 19th century.
