This small pectoral image reproduces the "Virgin of Vladimir", a famous miracle-working icon that came to Russia in the 12th century. The silver frame carries two marks: one of a silversmith whose initials were S.G. and one of Ivan Sergeevich Lebedkin, state assayer for the district of Moscow between 1899 and 1908.
