The grandchildren of Louis XV and Marie Leszczynska are depicted on the sides of the box: the duc de Berry, future Louis XVI, with a kite (on the front); Madame Clotilde holding a battledore and shuttlecock (on the left end); the comte d'Artois, future Charles X (on the right end); and the comte de Provence, future Louis XVIII (on the back). These enamel miniatures are related to portraits by Jean-Étienne Liotard, Jean-Martial Frédou, Maurice-Quentin de La Tour, and François-Hubert Drouais.",
