Document source description
This image, technically inept and rather crudely modeled, is nevertheless interesting for what it suggests about popular tendencies, possibly in the Kamphaeng Phet region in about the first half of the 14th century. The elements- such as the thick brows- are mostly those of the late Lopburi or early U Thong style. The lap deepens, and the right forearm lies flat. A certain jauntiness is introduced by the angle of the right elbow and of the mantle, and especially by the asymmetry of the facial features.
