In this page from Walters manuscript W.106 Joseph, the youngest of Jacob's twelve sons was a dreamer, beloved by his father, and hated by his brethren. One day, Jacob, seated on a grand chair as befits a patriarch, said to Joseph, "Go now, see if it is well with your brothers, and with the flock; and bring me word again."
