Document source description
This strigil has a broad blade of beaten bronze soldered to a handle of cast bronze. The handle is attached to the blade and loops around the back. It has a broad, flat front and a smaller back. It ends at the front with a plaque in the form of three leaves that is soldered to the blade. In the back is a plaque in the form of one leaf riveted to the front of the handle and the blade. The larger leaf plaque is decorated by lines at its edges, the smaller with two incised loops. The width of the blade suggests that this strigil is Etruscan.
