Source Description

Heneage Finch (1621-1682), first Earl of Nottingham, was Lord High Chancelor in 1674. He also had his portrait painted by Lely.As a portrait miniaturist, John Hoskins was an extremely fine colorist. He was the teacher and uncle of the portrait miniaturist Samuel Cooper.
