Document source description

Hotei is one of the seven gods of good fortune, with his origins in both Taoist and Buddhist beliefs. He is shown leaning against his bag of treasures. On the left is a Chinese style fan that Hotei is often shown carrying. His staff lays on the ground behind him. The reverse is executed half in gold along the diagonal. On the front, this gives the kozuka a gold rim along the upper and right edge.
