This is an U Thong-tradition image, modified somewhat due to the influence of the Early Ayutthaya type. The radiance takes the form of a flame; the hair may not come to a point at the center of the forehead, but the curve is strong and the sculptor now composes the features within an ovoid outer skin. Within this skin, however, the features still have much of an U Thong character, and the end result is a strong sense of individuality, even of realism.
