This image from Walters manuscript W.106 depicts a scene from the story of Joseph. Joseph's brothers betrayed him and sold him to a group of Ishmaelites, who then sold him in Egypt. Joseph rose fast, becoming Pharaoh's most trusted advisor. Joseph, handsome and successful, refused the advances of Pharaoh's wife.
