Source Description
The body of this tsuba is formed in the shape of a lotus leaf. Along the right edge is a second lotus leaf and a lotus flower is at the lower right. On the left, a frog sits upon another leaf. On the reverse, a pod with seeds is at the bottom leaf. Lotuses are a symbol of summer and are often connected to Buddhism.
