Document source description
Deep "trullae," or serving-pans, are usually found in pairs, one slightly smaller than the other, so they could be nested together when not in use. They were probably used for serving liquids. This one, a pair with Walters 57.2103, is unusually fine and is decorated with floral patterns and duck heads.
